This is a collection of titles that havent received a lot of attention that we at ShockTillYouDrop.com think you should seek out. The seasoned horror fan may recognize some titles on the list, but we are certain that you will find at least a few that are worth looking into. Our selections range from lesser known to completely obscure. We’ve narrowed the focus on the last 15 years as there have been plenty of lists concerning “horror movies you’ve never seen” that have extended their reach from the ’90s back to the dawn of cinema. If this piece proves popular, we’ll start working our way backward.

This Stephen Dorff heist thriller/horror film hybrid is a lot of fun. We see Dorffs character, Ritchie, sent on one last mission as a punishment of sorts and his job goes terribly wrong.
Botched is director Kit Ryans directorial debut (his second film, Dementamania, is in post-production). Botched functions equally well as a horror film and a heist flick. Its bloody as hell and has a unique twist ending that caught me securely off guard.
Botched did well on the festival circuit, taking home awards for both best actor and best feature at the 2007 New York City Horror Film Festival. But, it never got a lot of mainstream media attention. Nonetheless, Botched is a must see.
A woman insists upon carrying a baby that has been pronounced deceased to term. Miraculously, after delivery, she finds that her child is very much alive, but requires blood to sustain life.
This Adam Green-produced killer kid horror film hasnt really been given the credit it is due.
Grace furthers my long held notion that children are inherently evil and not, under any circumstances, to be trusted. Theres plenty of interesting social commentary in the film. I would be remiss if I didnt mention that Grace seems to take at least a modicum of inspiration from Its Alive. Grace has some fun Easter eggs in it, for one, the name of the family cat is Jonesy, the same name given to the cat on board in Alien.
Why this film still hasnt received U.S. distribution is beyond me.
There is plenty of fan demand, the film received good reviews and had a successful festival run.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane – directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50) is an inventive slasher film with a clever twist ending. This story of teenagers spending a weekend on a ranch starts like a run of the mill slasher film, but by the final frame, it is anything but run-of-the-mill. Amber Heard shines in her performance as the titular character, Mandy. The good news for our U.S. readers is that the international Blu-ray release is region free, so it will play on most, if not all, U.S. Blu-ray players.
