She’s taking on one of the key roles in the tale, playing Julia Shumway, the owner of a small town newspaper. When the town of Chester’s Mill is covered by a mysterious dome, she teams up with Dale Barbara (Mike Vogel) to find out what’s going on.
The series, set to debut on June 24 at 10/9c on CBS, has been adapted for the small screen by Brian K. Vaughan (“Y: The Last Man,” “Ex Machina,” “LOST”). Neils Arden Oplev, the director of the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, will helm the pilot.
The 13-episode first season will also star Colin Ford, Aisha Hinds, Alex Koch, Natalie Martinez, Jolene Purdy, Britt Robertson, Mike Vogel, Dean Norris and Nicholas Strong.
