NBC’s forthcoming Dracula series has found its female lead in Jessica De Gouw. The actress was recently seen on The CW’s Arrow as The Huntress. She’ll play opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) who is taking on the role of Dracula.
In the show, “Dracula (Meyers) arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier but falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.”
Dan Knauf is serving as showrunner; no word yet on an air date.
