In Japan, Shogo Fukushima and other researschers are taking Castle’s showmanship further by creating the “Chilly Chair” a device that sends out an electro-static charge, literally forcing your body to make the hairs on your body stand on end (artificial piloerection) and further heightening the experience of whatever you are doing – be it watching a movie, play a video game or (as the video inside demonstrates) reading a book.
Now, I’m not saying Castle inspired the “Chilly Chair,” but his archaic antics certainly be seen as a fun precursor to this device. The “Chilly Chair” still appears to be in the development stage and isn’t expected to be in actual theaters soon. Check out a video inside.
