The film will star Elissa Dowling (The Theatre Bizarre), Tiffany Shepis (Nightmare Man), legendary scream queen Brinke Stevens, Ray Trickitt and Arielle Brachfeld (The Haunting at Whaley House).
Rounding out the cast are Chantelle Albers, Jamie Bernadette, Erin Marie Hogan, Eliza Kiss, Dylan Hobbs, Stephen Eith, J. Scott, Carlos Javier Castillo, Paula Tracey Wilson and NBA superstar Scot Pollard.
The ’80s-style slasher, to be directed by Joston Theney, concerns nine vacationing twenty-somethings who are hunted down by an axe-wielding local legend.
Weve been in pre-production for some time but now were heading into the meat of it, so to speak, said Theney. Ive been waiting some time to do a film that is a true return to 80s slashers. Not the schlocky, hokey stuff with bad jokes and buckets of blood, but the truly unapologetic horror that explored the depths by which we could sink and ultimately redeem ourselves and our characters. They were dark, they were gruesome, they were debauched and they were fun, but they were scary as hell. And that definitely sums up Axeman at Cutter’s Creek.
