Meat Loaf to Star in Masked Killer Flick from Beaver Dam Director

Sable helmed the acclaimed short film The Legend of Beaver Dam (pictured).  Stage Fright will mark his feature debut.

The film – which is not a remake of Michele Soavi’s ’87 slasher StageFright – concerns a teen who lands a gig in a Broadway-bound show which is stalked by a masked killer.  Here is a synopsis we snagged from a casting call…

Starry-eyed, teenage kitchen hand Camilla Swanson lands herself a role in the Broadway-bound showcase at the musical theatre camp where she works, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill. The production is being terrorized by Metal Killer, a masked slasher who screams death metal while hunting down every last one of his sworn enemies: pretentious musical theatre snobs. In the tradition of SCREAM as well as classic movie musicals, is a fun and frightening thrill ride that skewers gleeful musical theatre people while they sign their hearts out – literally.
