Reportedly, both films revolve around the same Universe, and are being described as a new spin on the classic horror film. Scrawl is being described as Polanski meets Pulp Fiction by way of Charles Schulz Peanuts. Motto has been compared to Friday the 13th, reimagined as a silent short film.
The filmmakers are also at work on a comic book tie-in for the films that will fit into the world of Scrawl. The comic is being written by Hearn, with artwork by artist, Jay Boulton. The concept art, along with stills from Motto, can be found on the film’s tumblr page www.scrawlmovie.tumblr.com.
