Oh, c’mon… Let’s not all act there’s anything surprising here. The second Matt Westrup’s short film, entitled The Gate, made its way online, everyone in Hollywood was spreading it around. It was inevitable someone would move to get it made.
Deadline says Wayfare Entertainment snatched up the rights to the short and will finance a feature directed by Westrup. You can watch the short below.
Synopsis: 95% of the human genome is composed of redundant gene sequences. They appear to have no known biological function. Could a chance event reactivate them? Genetic freaks wander the streets courtesy of irresponsible pharmaceutical companies.
