Piranha 3DD Has a Release Date

Reps at Dimension Films have confirmed to Shock Till You Drop that Piranha 3DD is going to be dropped into the summer madness.  The official release date is now June 1st.  This will put the film up against Snow White and the Huntsman; Prometheus opens a week later.

A good window for a release?  Perhaps, it will fill a certain void that weekend – it’s a summer movie about hot kids wearing next to nothing and doing crazy stuff during the summer until the killer fish crash their party.

The sequel to Alex Aja’s Piranha 3D is directed by John Gulager this time.  He’s re-teaming with his Feast posse, writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton.  If you missed the trailer, check it out inside!
