Sacha Gervasi (Anvil! The Story of Anvil) will direct the film, which tells the true tale of Hitchcock’s attempts to finance his now-classic 1960 horror film. Adapted by John McLaughlin, who co-wrote Black Swan, the story is centered on the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville. Helen Mirren is slated to play Alma.
Johansson recently starred in Cameron Crowe’s We Bought a Zoo and can soon be seen in Marvel’s The Avengers. D’Arcy, meanwhile, just appeared in the Madonna-directed film W.E.
