Steve Niles, Berni Wrightson Collaborating on Stage Show?

Steve Niles tweeted this week that he was approached by a company to turn one of his comic books into a stage production.  Shock spoke to Niles, during a press conference call for Remains, and inquired about what potential title of his it could be.

“I can’t say which property yet because I haven’t met with them and we want to make sure it’s possible,” Niles told us, “but what I can say is it’s going to be one of mine and Bernie Wrightson’s [collaborations].  Essentially, what we’re going to try to do is a live Bernie Wrightson comic.  Bernie wants to paint the sets.  I’m going to have problems because now the backdrops are going to be original Bernie Wrightson art and they’re going to be more valuable than anything.  But what we’re going to try and do is a live comic on stage.”

Hmm. So, a Niles and Wrightson property, eh?  The two previously paired up for “City of Others,” “The Ghoul,” “Dead, She Said” and “Doc Macabre.”  On the horizon, a sequel to Mary Shelley’s classic novel entitled “Frankenstein, Alive, Alive.”  So, what do you think it is?
