Distributor steps up, acquires film
Anchor Bay Films has secured the U.S. distribution rights for Mother’s Day, the remake of the Troma film of the same name.
Darren Lynn Bousman helmed the redo starring Jaime King, Patrick Flueger, Rebecca De Mornay, Warren Kole, Deborah Ann Woll, Matt O’Leary, Briana Evigan, Frank Grillo, Lisa Marcos and Lyriq Bent.
Although made with a Mother’s Day 2011 release in mind, it looks like – according to Deadline – Anchor Bay will release the film sometime around Mother’s Day 2012.
