A supernatural romance from the creator of Buffy
As if Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) didn’t have enough on his plate (The Avengers is kind of a big deal), he went off and made Much Ado About Nothing under his new production banner, Bellwether Pictures, with Kai Cole.
The two are moving forward on a supernatural romance next called In Your Eyes, penned by Whedon who will serve as an executive producer.
The film tells the metaphysical love story about two seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined. Brin Hill will direct.
Whedon said in a press release: “When I wrote In Your Eyes, I didn’t have the wherewithal (or the moxie) to make it without an established production house. I believe, as I did then, that itâs a pretty timeless romance, and now, with the creation of Bellwether Pictures (and Brin Hillâs elegant, passionate take on the piece) I have the opportunity to prove it. (I also have a 37% increase in moxie.) I love this team (especially the girl one) and I canât wait to see them bring In Your Life to life.”
Filming will begin in February 2012. The filmmakers are currently casting and will begin pre-production later this year.
