Image Comics’ The Vault Planned For Feature Film

From GK Films and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil

With the first issue just released in comic shops last week, The Vault is planned for a feature film adaptation. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that GK Films and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil have grabbed the rights.

From writer Sam Sarkar and artist Garrie Gastonny, Image Comics officially describes the three-issue miniseries as follows:

A small team of treasure hunters struggles to excavate a dangerous and legendary treasure pit before a massive storm hits Sable Island, the ‘Graveyard of the North Atlantic’. Equipped with all the latest technology, the scientists believe they are prepared against all of nature’s fury, but nothing can prepare them for what they are about to unleash from The Vault.

It’s too early to say what the plans are concerning the adaptation or whether Depp might be interested in appearing in the film version, but Christi Dembrowski will produce on behalf of Nihil with Graham King and Tim Headington doing so for GK.
