Sequel now in production
Yes, Piranha 3DD is on the way and today Dimension Films announced the sequel has begun principal photography in Wilmington, North Carolina. And yes, it is being shot in 3D.
John Gulager is directing this entry and our reps at the studio tell us Danielle Panabaker (pictured), Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez and, of course, Clu Gulager have joined the cast.
Dimension describes the film like this: There’s something in the water…again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.
Piranha 3DD is produced by Mark Canton, Marc Toberoff and Joel Soisson.
Look for it November 23.
