Will direct psycho-thriller
Lasse Hallstrom is doing an adaptation of “The Hypnotist” by author Lars Kepler.
The film will be a Swedish production that tells the story of a detective who hires a hypnotist to work with a young boy traumatized by three murders he had witnessed. When the hypnotist puts the whammy on the boy, horrifying things occur.
Shooting begins this winter. “The Hypnotist” is just one of a string of novels about fictional Detective Joona Linna.
Hallstrom previously directed The Cider House Rules and Dear John.
