Can a flesh-eater find love?
Manuel Martin Cuenca is set to direct the psychological thriller Canibal.
Co-written by Alejandro Hernandez, the film follows a cannibal who begins to stray from his ways when he finds love.
Don’t expect the film any time soon. Cuenca won’t roll cameras until 2012. “This is not a Hannibal Lecter. He knows what he does is wrong. But he just can’t stop,” the director tells Variety.
He describes the film as being in the vein of Michael Haneke’s Funny Games.
