Lena Heady, Michael Ironside and possibly Kate Mara and Michael Trucco are set to star in the creature feature Safe House.
Deadline reports the story concerns a mother and daughter who are relocated to a safe house and are put under the protection of U.S. Marshalls because the mother is a mob trial witness.
Unbeknown to them, the area has a history of violence. Producer Steve Iles describes it as Assault on Precinct 13 and The Thing.
Simon Hunter of The Mutant Chronicles is slated to direct, which means it appears he’s setting aside Curve and Blood Reds for now. Andy Briggs penned the script.
