Thriller to begin shooting in Vancouver
With Martyrs – and a unproduced Hellraiser remake – behind him, French director Pascal Laugier has set his sights on The Tall Man.
The thriller begins shooting in September on a $15 million budget with Jessica Biel in the starring role.
Biel plays a woman “who must grapple with and track the mysterious figure of The Tall Man who has kidnapped her child.”
The producers have bandied about a slew of similarities in Screen Daily’s article about the film, describing it as in the vein of M. Night Shyamalan’s early pictures. Laugier describes as Panic Room, but “on the outside.”
