A Haunting in Harlem

Platinum title shifts to feature plans

Platinum Studios graphic novel, “Meet the Haunteds,” didn’t quite make it to television as it intended four years ago. That’s okay, because this supernatural tale is now in development for the big screen.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop‘s Steve Carr is working with Platinum to do a Meet the Haunteds feature film. It focuses on a family who relocated to Harlem only to discover their home is haunted by an African-American family that has been there since the 1970s and has no idea how much the world has changed.

Chris Wichtendahl and Billy Penn worked on the graphic novel that’s being published soon.

Platinum recently struck a deal to make “Blood Nation,” a vampire comic, into a movie. Read about that here.
