Ron Howard to direct…
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Not that I don’t believe Heat Vision’s report, but so many people have tried and failed to bring Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” to the screen.
Tonight, Deadline reports Akiva Goldsman will write the script and Ron Howard will direct and adaptation. The intention is for Stephen King, Imagine Entertainment and Weed Road to shepherd a cinematic trilogy in addition to a television series. Universal may distribute.
Ambitious. But so were the other directors once attached to the property.
Is Howard the right choice, however? I have my apprehensions.
