Coming later this year
It looks like Anchor Bay and the creative team behind the I Spit On Your Grave remake are coming out of their shells, so to speak, after a serious clamp down on any press for the film.
At the Texas Frightmare Weekend this Saturday, Anchor Bay is going to show a sneak peek of the remake from director Steven Monroe. Monroe and his cast, including Sarah Butler, Daniel Franzese, Chad Lindberg and Rodney Eastman, will premiere clips from the film and present a Q & A, giving attendees their first glimpse at their new vision of an venerable horror classic. All five will also be on hand to meet and greet fans throughout the weekend.
The panel begins at 1pm. Texas Frightmare Weekend is taking place at the Sheraton Grand Hotel (4440 West John Carpenter Freeway, Irving, Texas 75063). For more, visit TexasFrightmareWeekend.com.
TFW also received a special message from the producer of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE and she’s asked us to share it with you.
A Note From Producer Lisa Hansen:
On behalf of Director Steven Monroe and our Stars Sarah Butler, Daniel Franzese, Rodney Eastman and Chad Lindberg, I would like to say we’re very excited about previewing I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE for the fans at TFW. We’ve worked closely with the original film’s creator Meir Zarchi to create a true remake, and not a bland “re-imagining.” Fans are already accusing us of not pushing the envelope hard enough, of making a watered down version solely for the exploitation of the title. We can only provide a glimpse at the show, but I can promise you: we pushed that envelope through the frickin’ roof!
