– Now available on DVD in both regular and limited editions is Kerry Beyer’s horror/comedy Spirit Camp.

When a street smart “goth girl” (Roxy Vandiver) is forced to attend cheerleader camp as part of her rehabilitation from a juvenile correction facility, she clashes with the “popular girls,” and finds herself embroiled in a bitter rivalry with the bitchy ringleader Rachel (Julin). But when members of the spirit squad start turning up dead, the girls must put aside their differences and struggle to survive the murderous rage of a crazed psycho-killer lurking among them!

Bonus features on the indie release include director’s commentary, behind-the-scenes footage and a trailer. The limited edition version comes with a pair of autographed panties. Pick it up via the official movie website right here.

– Filmmaker Jeremiah Kipp has completed a new short film titled Contact which you can check out right here. It stars Zoe Daelman Chlanda, who appeared in Alan Rowe Kelly’s I’ll Bury You Tomorrow and The Blood Shed, Bart Mastronardi’s Vindication, and Joshua Nelson’s Pink Eye. Kelly and actor Danny Lopes (Satan’s Playground) also pop up in the short, written & directed by Kipp, a regular contributor to Fangoria and Shock Cinema.

– Bat Pig Pictures has announced their new feature The Housesitter which begins production later this Spring in South Florida. Robert Gordon Spencer directs from a script by Drew Henriksen (Blood Night) based upon a short the duo co-wrote with Jonathan Moody (Scream Queen Campfire).

In the pic, Whitney, a young psychology student, is house sitting for her sleazy boss. Little does she know a serial killer has also taken up residence under the same roof. One by one, the people around her seemingly disappear into the shadows as both her father and boyfriend aide her is uncovering the truth about what is really going on.

Based on a South Florida urban legend, Brandon Slagle (Kinky Killers, the upcoming 15 Till Midnight) and John Kyle (The Tenant, The Woods Have Eyes) will star.
