Who gets the first look?
Focus Features, the Universal-based company releasing Park Chan-wook’s Thirst here in the States, is getting a first crack at an English-language remake of the vampire film. CJ Entertainment, a co-producer on the film, tells Variety that it’s still early but “heat” is picking up for an American redo.
In the original, which is opening in limited release this July, Song Kang-ho plays a priest afflicted with vampirism. Watch a trailer here.
