More Ghostbusters 3 Talk with Ramis

Putting the production time frame in perspective

Ghostbusters 3 is coming. Harold Ramis said a week ago that everybody was coming back…along with a few new recruits. But what will it be about and how far off are we from seeing it?

“Even if there was a great script by the end of the summer, it would be a year before [we could go into production],” Ramis tells EW. Gene Stupinksy and Lee Eisenberg of The Office are penning the new Ghostbusters adventure which, Ramis says, will not be connected to the “Ghostbusters Go to Hell” premise that Dan Aykroyd was kicking around in the ’90s. “As soon as Danny said it, I thought that was really funny. But now there’s a new concept. And it’s interesting, beyond the kind of mythology of it, thereâ??s a personal story that’s pretty grounded.”
