Fairy Tale Figures Get Overhaul in Riding Hood

The horror-actioner from Justin Dix

Australian production outfit Resolution Independent (Storm Warning) has fixed up FX artist Justin Dix with his directorial debut Riding Hood. It’s described as a horror-fantasy mixed with action that reinvents classic fairy tale characters.

The story follows “Red” (as in Riding Hood) on her quest for revenge – packing holy water grenades and silver bullets – through the streets of a Necropolis teeming with storybook figures like the Three Little Pigs and “Sinderella.” Red is, naturally, after Mr. Wolf who was responsible for the death of her grandmother.

Dix co-wrote the script with Adam Foster. The former’s credits include work on Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, Rogue and Dying Breed.
