Don’t Scratch Hopper from Hell Ride

Actor reveals character details

Our first introduction to Dennis Hopper in the violent scheme of Quentin Tarantino’s universe arrived in Tony Scott’s True Romance. In it he played Christian Slater’s sympathetic, smart-mouthed pop who tackled Tarantino’s dialogue with ease and meets an unfortunate end on the receiving end of Christopher Walken’s gun.

Now, as we first told you here, he’s hopping on a hog – just like his Easy Rider days – for Hell Ride, a Tarantino-produced tale of revenge about a fella seeking a group of motorcyclin’ satanists who killed his girlfriend. Larry Bishop stars and directs.

“I am playing Eddie ‘Scratch’ Zero,” Hopper tells MTV. “And I couldn’t possibly begin telling you who that is, but he is weird enough.”

Hopper joins Vinnie Jones, Eric Balfour and Michael Madsen. Shooting is now underway.
