General Hospital fans have been speculating for a while that Costa D’Angelo will join as the new Spencer on the long-running soap opera. The rumors intensified after the actor finished with the third and seemingly final season of Tell Me Lies. Here’s what the star said about this.
Has Tell Me Lies’ Costa D’Angelo joined General Hospital as Spencer Cassadine?
For a long time now, General Hospital fans have been waiting for Spencer to return. Of course, the character is dead, but as is often the case with soap operas, it is never too late to return from the dead, especially when it is an iconic character like Spencer Cassadine.
Moreover, Adam Huss, who played his father, Nikolas, hinted in a new interview about unfinished business in Port Charles. If Nikolas does return, there could be a greater chance of Spencer coming back, too.
Fans of the show have long eyed Tell Me Lies star Costa D’Angelo, who just wrapped up with the third season of the show. It seems he may now have a spot open on his calendar.
In a new interview with The TV Cave about his role in Tell Me Lies, D’Angelo was asked about his opinion on this fan casting. “I have seen it,” he said, referring to the buzz linking him to the role, “with a smile.”
Of course, he did not confirm anything or hint at any casting news in the near future. But he did express his love for the show and added, “I see them. So hopefully one day I can make their dreams come true.”
Costa D’Angelo signing on as Spencer would be massive for General Hospital. He does look like a perfect successor to Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who last took on the iconic role in Port Charles.
