How The Crystalline Conspiracy book hints at Cesar Faison’s return
In the Thursday, December 18, episode, Anna receives a novel titled The Crystalline Conspiracy by P.K. Sinclair in her prison cell. The book brings back painful memories for Anna, who knows all too well that in the 1990s, Cesar Faison used P.K. Sinclair as a false identity. He portrayed himself as an adventure novelist, documenting his experiences with Anna during her time as a DVX agent in his books. He wrote the stories from the lens of a fictional character, Davnee, who closely mirrored Anna’s personality and experiences. From that point on, he became obsessively fixated on her.
With the book resurfacing in her life, Anna remains disgusted after receiving it and pushes it away from herself. She becomes terrified after reading the note inside the book. The note reads, “For my muse,” and is signed with a “C,” which likely refers to Cesar Faison. It is deeply concerning for Anna, given that the antagonist’s obsession with her may still persist.
Many also suspect that the person who sent her the book could be Peter, who later adopted his father’s name and wrote a book hinting that he is Faison’s son. There had previously been suspicions that Peter might have been responsible for Anna’s kidnapping, though nothing was ever proven. It remains to be seen whether the creators will resurrect Faison or add another plot twist.
