The Voice Season 28: Who Went Home on Playoffs Night 2? Who Won the Mic Drop?

With the second night of The Voice Season 28 playoffs over, fans are curious as to who went home. The most recent episode also opened up two more spots for the finale. One of these was chosen by the coaches, and America’s vote decided another.

After performances from the remaining artists on Teams Niall and Snoop, each coach picked a finalist. After this, six artists will head to the live finale.

Who got eliminated and went home in The Voice Season 28 Playoffs Night 2?

The artists who went home on The Voice Night 2 were Ava Nat, DEK of Hearts (though DEK later won the Mic Drop), Kirbi, Mindy Miller, Toni Lorene, and YOSHIHANAA. One of those sent home could still be revived by America’s Save, which will be revealed later.

Team Snoop wrapped up with solid, emotional performances. The coach praised YOSHIHANAA’s growth. “I am so proud of you, Yoshihanaa. I am just honored to have you on my team to be able to coach you. You need to be making your own record. You just sound so good. I think Yoshihanaa grew so much in this competition. Her performance was so powerful. It showed who she is.”

Later, before choosing Ralph Edwards as his finalist, Snoop said, “Oh, man, you touched me. You brought back some memories of special people in my life that’s not here no more. And the way you sang that, it’s a pleasure having you on my team, man. It’s a pleasure being able to work with you to call you my brother, so thank you, Ralph.”

On Team Niall, Niall picked Aiden Ross as his finalist, and he laid out why. He explained, “It’s what Michael [Bublé] said, it’s not what you can do, it’s what you should do. Congratulations, Aiden. Great job. Aiden is a special, special talent.”

Who won the Mic Drop competition last night?

The Mic Drop winner was DEK of Hearts, earning the unique prize of performing live at The Rose Parade Presented by Honda on January 1, 2026. This is a major extra-stage opportunity for the act.

The Voice airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with streams available the next day on Peacock.
