Who will die in today’s episode of The Young and the Restless?

The upcoming episode of Young and Restless on July 28, 2025, will feature many exciting events. With Damian’s murder still one of the primary plot points in the show, this episode gives some time to Nick’s arc. But the majority of it focuses on Chance Chancellor and Cane Ashby, who, by the end of the episode, are engaged in a gun battle with Carter.

Following the mystery of Damian’s murder, Cane tries to get something out of Carter about Damian’s murder while Victor and Chance eavesdrop. Eventually, Cane does manage to extract a confession out of Carter, who reveals that he did kill Damian. He says he did it to secure his boss’s future with Lily. This solves a lingering mystery.

After the confession, Carter asks for Cane’s help to escape and start afresh. But he does not know of Cane’s plan. Chancellor then steps up from behind, making Carter realize that Cane had betrayed him.

This kicks off an action-packed sequence. As Lily appears, Carter takes her hostage and flees. Cane soon catches up to him and offers himself in exchange for Lily. As Cane seemingly gets ready to make a sacrifice, Chance steps in and defends him. At the end of the struggle, Chance is shot in the chest.

Chance expresses his love for Dominic and dies in this episode of Young and Restless. Carter also kills himself, ending the saga. It seems that Cane is still willing to win over Lily at any cost.
