In May 2025, a mysterious new album titled Silent Algorithms surfaced on several music platforms, credited to Taylor Swift. However, it quickly became clear that the album was fake and not an official release from the singer. It features 30 tracks with titles like “Amber Ashes Rhapsody,” “Infinite Hourglass,” “Mercury Mirage,” and “Paper Heart Symphony.” But interestingly, Spotify has not removed this album from its platform.
Taylor Swift’s new album confuses fan on Spotify
Music platform Spotify has not taken down the album Silent Algorithms, falsely credited to Swift, that surfaced on music platforms on May 12. This has left fans confused. Adding to the confusion, the album still lists Swift as the user who uploaded it, making fans wonder and question why the platform has not taken action or addressed the issue yet to prevent further misunderstanding.
Listeners of Tidal Music and Spotify noticed that the album credits Taylor Swift, but a different user with the same name has uploaded it. The album features what seems like an AI-generated cover art, and on the first listen, Swifties confirmed that it is not Taylor Swift’s voice.
While discussing the fake album, a fan posted on Reddit, “Probably an AI album design to trick people into listening to it.” A second user chimed in, explaining, “Just a hint for Spotify: things can be uploaded under the wrong names or accounts with the same names. It happens a lot.”
Discussions over Swift’s fake album, Silent Algorithms, underscore growing concerns about premature music leaks. While fans are sure that Silent Algorithms is not a “leaked” version of the Grammy winner’s upcoming release, reports state that Swift has faced premature reveal problems in the past.
The pop sensation’s 2024 album, Tortured Poet’s Department, fell victim to an alleged leak. Years before that, Swift’s Lover album was also reportedly leaked hours before it made its way online officially.
Meanwhile, fans wait for Taylor Swift’s upcoming announcement regarding the release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). The “Gorgeous” crooner had already teased that the vault songs of the album will be “fire.”
Swifties also theorize that the singer might appear at the AMAs 2025 with a major announcement. Fans believe the hitmaker will reveal details of her upcoming music project at the ceremony in Las Vegas.
However, for now, it’s unclear when Spotify will respond to the Taylor Swift fake album issue.
