The Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) and The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) were absent from Bravo’s recent slate of renewal announcements. While Bravo confirmed new seasons for other Real Housewives franchises including Beverly Hills, Orange County, Potomac, and Salt Lake City, there was no mention of RHONY or RHONJ in the official list.
Bravo unveiled new shows such as The Real Housewives of Rhode Island and a reboot of Shahs of Sunset. However, no updates were shared about the future of RHONY or RHONJ. A source told Reality Tea, “Nothing official has been decided yet for RHONY or RHONJ,” indicating that both shows remain in limbo.
RHONY has struggled since its reboot, with Season 15 facing significant backlash and low ratings. According to an Instagram account, Nielsen Media confirmed that the sixth episode of Season 15 drew only 281,000 same-day viewers—the lowest in the show’s history. For comparison, RHONY once averaged over 2 million viewers during its peak. The decline followed the departure of longtime cast members and a complete recast after Season 13.
RHONJ’s future has also remained uncertain. Following a dramatic Season 14, Bravo confirmed the series would go on pause as producers evaluated the direction of the show. No filming updates or casting details have since been announced.
Bravo has not released an official cancellation statement for either RHONY or RHONJ. Both shows were notably excluded from the network’s 2025 renewal and development announcements, and their current status remains undecided.
