Taylor Swift‘s Eras tour will soon come to an end later this year, and the European leg of the tour is currently in progress. Many fans even fly to other countries to catch her Eras tour shows. Now, after delivering an electrifying performance last night, she is already ready for her next performance. Let’s take a look at where Taylor Swift will be performing tonight on August 9.
Where is Taylor Swift tonight, August 9?
Taylor Swift will be performing at her second show in Austria, tonight on August 9.
Update: While a Taylor Swift concert was organized for August 9, it has now been canceled due to concerns about a planned terrorist attack. Event organizer Barracuda Music announced the cancelation on Instagram:
After an exhilarating show last night at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, Austria, Swift will play the second of three shows at the same venue, tonight. The stadium is located in Leopoldstadt, which is the 2nd district of Austria’s capital Vienna. With a seating capacity of around 50,000, it is an excellent venue for the number of fans that attend her concerts. This stadium is the largest stadium in Austria, formerly known as Praterstadion until 1992. Swift will perform here for a second consecutive night tonight and will be back tomorrow for a final show at the venue.
Her performance will include around 45 of her hit songs from all over her music career. The entire performance lasts for around 3 hours and 15 minutes and consists of 10 acts. Each act represents an “Era” of her musical journey. Recently, she also made a few adjustments to the setlist to accommodate her latest tracks from The Tortured Poets Department, her latest studio album. Next week she will return to London for a second set of shows, as the European leg of the Eras tour will come to an end.
Later in October, Swift will perform a few shows in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, before taking the Eras tour to Canada for a final few shows. The Eras tour will come to an end with a final show on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
