However, her significant weight loss in a span of four months has been a huge topic of interest among fans recently, especially after rumors of Ozempic usage, came into the picture. Ricki Lake’s weight loss explained

Ricki Lake did intermittent fasting, exercising, sleep tracking, and followed a keto diet to lose 30 pounds in a span of 4 months, as per Good Morning America (GMA).

The 55-year-old talk show host and actress revealed in a recent interview with GMA, that her weight loss journey over the past four months, along with her husband Ross Burningham, took time and money and that she decided to lose weight by herself naturally through hard work after consulting a doctor who recommended Ozempic, since she was perimenopausal at her age.

Ricki Lake further mentioned her annoyance at the doctor’s comments of her not being successful if she did not take Ozempic and her desire to prove people wrong and take on a challenge were key motivations in her attempts to lose weight naturally, instead of taking the drug.

Lake previously shared a post in Instagram on February 2024, about her and her husband Ross’s dedication to lose weight and here she stressed that she did not use any pharmaceutical or drug to help her achieve weight loss.

She later flatly denied using Ozempic in an April Instagram post, when a user commented “That Ozempic face is real! Damn!!!” and she replied with “NOPE.”
