Disney Plus‘s new TV and movie releases for April 29-May 5 2024 include Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, Monsters at Work Season 2, and new episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 and X-Men ’97.
On Wednesday, May 1, Disney Plus subscribers will be able to watch a new episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3, titled “The Cavalry Has Arrived.” This episode will continue the storyline established at the start of the season, which involves Clone Force 99’s attempts to reunite with Omega and evade the Galactic Empire’s influence.
Also on the same day, a new episode of X-Men ’97, titled “Tolerance Is Extinction – Part 1,” hits Disney Plus. This is the first part of the final three episodes of X-Men ’97 Season 1. It will showcase the X-Men discovering more clues about Genosha’s massacre, which leads to a big confrontation with Bastion, who has been working behind the scenes since the beginning of the show to ruin the X-Men.
Then on May 4, all six episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire arrive on Disney Plus. Set in different eras, during the expansion of the Galactic Empire, the story follows both Morgan Elsbeth and ex-Jedi Barriss Offee as they pursue different paths: one of vengeance and one of survival.
Finally, on May 5, all episodes of Monsters at Work Season 2 hit Disney Plus. Monsters at Work is an animated series that is a sequel to 2001’s Monsters Inc.
Also arriving on Disney Plus this week are Marvel’s Daredevil, a 2003 superhero film based on the character of the same name, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’s a stop-motion animated film and Wes Anderson is the director.
