Who is Ino in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Takuma Ino is a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer. He’s a close colleague of Nanami’s and looks up to him greatly. Ino’s usual attire is an all-black sweatshirt and pants combo. He keeps his hair under his ski mask which is also a beanie.
We first see him in Season 1 Episode 12 of the anime, or Chapter 26 of the manga. He’s also in JJK 0, although it’s just a cameo.
How strong is Takuma Ino?
Ino is a grade 2 sorcerer, but Nanami says that based on Ino’s combat skills and cursed technique, he could rank as a semi-grade 1 sorcerer if he wanted to. He wants to stay as a grade 2 sorcerer because he isn’t too confident with himself and wants Nanami’s approval.
Ino is an expert in hand-to-hand combat. He had no problem fighting an average-leveled curse user. Since he’s a professional sorcerer, he also possesses high cursed energy and is trained enough to be able to use his abilities skillfully.
When Ino’s using his innate technique, his whole body is covered in cursed energy. He’s also capable of using cursed energy during close combat, simultaneously with his technique. He has no problem sensing the cursed energy of others.
Takuma Ino cursed technique
Ino’s innate technique is Auspicious Beasts Summon. When Ino uses the mask to cover his face, his technique is activated and he becomes a spiritual medium. This lets him summon auspicious beasts and use their powers. The names of the beasts are:
- Auspicious Beast 1: Kaichi
- Auspicious Beast 2: Reiki
- Auspicious Beast 3: Kirin
- Auspicious Beast 4: Ryu
Kaichi brings out a horn, which can be used as a projectile weapon covered in cursed energy. It will not stop until it hits the desired target. Meanwhile, Reiki covers Ino’s body in water. This protects him and speeds up his movement.
Kirin negates Ino’s feeling of pain, but it’s also draining on the stamina. It makes Ino very tired but he also can’t sleep. After he finishes using Kirin, he can’t move for a certain amount of time. We don’t know much about Ryu yet since he didn’t get to use it in his fight with the Toji reincarnation.
After Nanami’s death, Ino used Nanami’s cursed tool during the fight against Sukuna.
