Sugar Episode 2 Ending, Spoilers & Recap: What Happened & Who Dies?

Here’s Apple TV’s Sugar episode 2 ending explained, featuring a recap full of spoilers. Find out what happened and who died in the episode titled These People, These Places.

What happened at the end of Sugar Episode 2?

Sugar episode 2 ends with John getting personally involved in finding Olivia. Clifford Carter’s boss, meanwhile, finds a clue that could lead him to Melaine.

In the final act of episode 2, John Sugar goes back to Olivia’s car to dispose of Clifford Carter’s body. It was previously in the trunk, but someone else got to it before Sugar and removed all traces of it.

Meanwhile, Bernie and his son David try to find out more about Sugar to prevent him from looking further into their past. Their search proves to be a failure, as Sugar was already aware that David and Kenny installed a bug in his room at the Corazon hotel.

Then, he returns to his room to further investigate the connection between Olivia and Carmen Vasquez, with the latter being supposedly murdered by Clifford Carter. Despite not wanting to get personally involved initially, Sugar ultimately gets obsessed with finding Olivia due to her reminding him of the mysterious Djen.

Right before the episode ends, we meet Clifford Carter’s boss, who arrives at the doorstep of Carmen’s sister Teresa. Before dying, Clifford sent his boss a text asking who Melaine was. Due to his wanting to find out more about Melaine, Teresa led him to her.

Now, episode 3 will see Carter’s boss visiting Melaine. How she survives him and his men and reunites with Sugar remains to be seen.
