Despite rumors floating around the internet suggesting the show’s cancelation, Euphoria has not been canceled. According to a new report from Deadline, the shoot for the third season has been reportedly halted as showrunner Sam Levinson is still working on the scripts for the upcoming third season. The report also mentions that the cast have been permitted to take other acting gigs in the interim.
HBO said the following in a statement to Deadline, confirming their and Levinson’s commitment to making a third season:
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season, In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
Some of the Euphoria cast such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney have gone on to become rising stars by appearing in various critically and commercially acclaimed films such as Dune, Saltburn, and Immaculate, following their appearances in the show.
Is Euphoria Season 3 happening?
If the recent report proves accurate, Euphoria season 3 is happening and is scheduled to come out in 2025. However, we still await official confirmation.
