Travis Kelce had a strong emotional reaction to Jason Kelce’s retirement.

Jason Kelce announced his retirement on Monday at a 40-minute press conference. He gave a speech about his long NFL career and the memories associated with it. During the speech, he broke down in tears.

Kelce’s speech also made his brother Travis visibly emotional. The Kansas City Chiefs tight-end was seen wiping away tears and looking sad.

Jason Kelce also mentioned Travis Kelce in his speech. He said how he would not be where he was in his career if it was not for the bond he and Travis shared. The Philadelphia Eagles player said:

“There is no chance I would be here without the bond Travis and I share. It made me stronger, tougher, smarter and taught me the values of cooperation, loyalty, patience and understanding.”

Travis Kelce shedding tears over his brother’s retirement is indicative of the strong bond they have share. Jason Kelce was the first of the brothers to enter the NFL after starting collegiate football at the University of Cincinnati, eventually getting drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 draft.
