Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Blu-ray & DVD Volume 4 and 5 release date
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Blu-ray & DVD Volume 4 will be released in Japan on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
For those located outside of Japan, there is no available information yet about when the Blu-ray and DVD are going to be available on the Crunchyroll Store or other platforms.
Volume 4 contains Season 2 Episodes 15-17 (Episodes 39 to 41 overall). The titles of the episodes are:
- Fluctuations, Part 2
- Thunderclap
- Thunderclap, Part 2
The cover features Toji Fushiguro. According to Jujutsu Kaisen’s official website, there are two discs: the main disc and the bonus DVD.
On the other hand, Volume 5 will be out in Japan on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. It contains Season 2 Episodes 18-20 (Episodes 42 to 44 overall). The titles of the episodes are as follows:

- Right and Wrong, Part 2
- Right and Wrong, Part 3

What happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17 (Episode 41 overall) titled “Thunderclap, Part 2” was one of the most popular episodes in the series. This episode featured the fight between Sukuna and Mahoraga, and fans were incredibly amazed with the production and animation. But at the same time, it appears that some parts of the episode weren’t finished. During that time, MAPPA was also under fire due to its staff’s poor working conditions.
JJK Season 2 animator Itsuki Tsuchigami mentioned on his X (formerly Twitter) account that episode 41 is a “step above” since there will be “additional cuts.” Hopefully, the additional content will finally be up to the audience and staff’s standards.
