Robot Dreams Streaming Release Date Rumors

The Robot Dreams streaming release date is highly anticipated, and viewers are wondering when they can start streaming the film. Written and directed by Pablo Berger, Robot Dreams is based on the namesake comic book by Sara Varon. The French-Spanish animated film doesn’t have any verbal dialogue and has been nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 96th Academy Awards.

Here’s when Robot Dreams could be coming out for streaming online.

When is the predicted Robot Dreams streaming release date?

The Robot Dreams streaming release date could be in mid-2024.

Robot Dreams premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2023, before releasing in theaters in Spain on December 6, 2023, and in France on December 27, 2023. It was reported in May 2023 that Neon had acquired the North American distribution rights to the film. In January, the production and distribution company released a teaser, noting that the film is “coming soon.” Given the pattern of the streaming debuts of previous Neon films, if Robot Dreams debuts in US theaters in early 2024, it can be available on streaming platforms by mid-2024.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.

Set in Manhattan, New York, in the ’80s, Robot Dreams tells the story of the friendship between a robot and a dog, and how their later separation impacts each of them.

Is Robot Dreams coming out on Hulu?

Robot Dreams could be available to watch via streaming on Hulu.

In 2017, Neon signed a multi-year output deal with Hulu that grants the latter exclusive streaming rights to Neon projects. So, Robot Dreams will likely make its streaming debut on Hulu. ComingSoon will provide an update on this story once the streaming release date is officially announced.

The Robot Dreams official synopsis reads:

“Dog lives in Manhattan and he’s tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a robot, a companion. Their friendship blossoms, until they become inseparable, to the rhythm of 80’s NYC. One summer night, Dog, with great sadness, is forced to abandon Robot at the beach. Will they ever meet again?”
