Does Call die at the end of The Changeling Episode 8?
After saving her community and Apollo, and stabbing William in the chest, Cal leaps off the cliff’s edge trying to escape as the monster approaches. Then, we see Apollo watch her die while rowing away on his boat.
Towards the end of the episode, Cal and Apollo are chased by the giant monster and get badly injured as they fall halfway from a cliff. They decided to stay behind while allowing the community to escape on a nearby boat. But Cal then sends Apollo away on a rowing boat as well. She bids farewell and tells him to go and find Emma, who has gone to New York’s only forest to look for their baby.
As Apollo rows away to New York, the Monster attacks him but misses. When William commands it to attack again, Cal climbs back to take down her enemy for good. She hits him with a rock and stabs him in the chest. But as the Monster approaches her, she jumps off the cliff and Apollo watches her plummet to the ground, and she dies.
Do Apollo and William die as well?
William was saved by the monster who dragged him back into the forest. Meanwhile, Apollo ended up at Little Norway to look for Emma.
Emma is at a different end of the forest and, as she enters it, she sees a merry-go-round and hears a baby crying. She presumes that it’s her baby and runs towards it thinking that she has arrived at the location where the abducted children were kept.
Then in the final moments of season 1, we see William typing at a computer desk communicating with his Kinder Garten followers. Meanwhile, Apollo, who has arrived at a different part of the forest, digs up the grave of his son. But as he opens the lid, he gets attacked by a demonic baby, which could be a changeling.
In the final shot, Apollo moves into a cave and encounters a colossal-eyed Monster to end season 1.
