Ahsoka Ending: What Happened to Baylan Skoll & Who Will Play Him Next?

Following the Ahsoka ending, viewers are wondering what happened to Baylan Skoll and who will play him next. Will Ray Stevenson be recast for the villain’s future Star Wars appearances? Here’s the need-to-know information.

What happened to Baylan Skoll at the end of Ahsoka season 1?

Baylan Skoll was last seen standing atop the statues of Mortis Gods in Peridea at the end of Ahsoka Season 1.

From the moment Baylan Skoll stepped foot on Peridea, he seemed to have an alternate agenda. This notion was further established when he left Shin Hati’s side. Towards the end of Episode 8, he was seen on the statue of one of the three Mortis Gods, “The Father.” It was placed beside the statues of “The Son,” and the wretched statue of “The Daughter.”

As per Dave Filoni, Baylan Skoll’s orange lightsaber signifies that he is neither Sith nor Jedi. (via Screen Rant) Skoll felt that the struggle for power in the galaxy would continue in an endless cycle of war between the light side of the force and the dark side. He wishes to end the cycle himself.

On Peridea, he felt a calling from the Mortis Gods, which is strange because they died way before Ahsoka Season 1. How and which of them is calling out to him remains to be a mystery.

Representing one or all three Mortis Gods, he could return gaining more power and might become one of the greatest antagonists in Star Wars history, or perhaps a dark protagonist trying to bring balance within the Force.

Who will play Baylan Skoll after Ray Stevenson?

Popular candidates for actors to replace Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll are Liev Schreiber, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Following the death of Baylan Skoll actor Ray Stevenson, many fans were left wondering how Skoll’s story would continue in the future. Since the character has survived and is yet to be fleshed out properly, he’d likely be recast.

Standing as tall as him and sharing a similar look, Liev Schrieber could come closest to replicating his portrayal.
