Could t be Brainiac or Lex Luthor? Here’s everything you need to know.

Who will be the Superman: Legacy villain?

While the Superman: Legacy villain hasn’t been officially confirmed, the two most popular options appear to be Brainiac and Lex Luthor.

Will Brainiac be in Superman Legacy?

At the moment of writing, Brainiac hasn’t been confirmed to appear in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman outing.

However, it is possible that the powerful Man of Steel villain will appear in the new reboot. A post from Superman’s X official account revealed all the comics that Legacy is inspired by. “Superman: Brainiac” is included in the list, which led people to believe that the powerful antagonist could show up in Legacy.

Industry insider DanielRPK has also teased Brainiac’s appearance in the movie. With that said, it’s not clear whether he’d be the main villain or have a smaller role in the film.

Will Lex Luthor be in Superman: Legacy?

Lex Luthor is confirmed to be in Superman: Legacy.

James Gunn was about to announce the actor playing Lex, with Alexander Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, and Bill Skarsgård being the reported frontrunners. However, the casting is now expected to be announced after the SAG-AFTRA strike concludes.

As per the rumored plot revealed by insider Grace Randolph and Daniel RPK, Legacy will involve Superman dealing with a conflict in the fictional Middle Eastern country called Bialya. Meanwhile, the other aforementioned heroes will not agree to his method. Lex Luthor will deal with the situation in his own sinister way.

If these plot details turn out to be true, it’s likely that Luthor is the film’s main villain, and Brainiac might have a cameo to set up the sequel. Of course, nothing is officially confirmed for now, but CS will surely report on any new developments as and when they happen.
