Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 Release Date Rumors: Is It Coming Out?

Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 is a sequel to Waco, a mini-series which was released in early 2018. It documents the aftermath of the Waco Siege, considered one of the most horrifying incidents in US history. In a standoff between federal agents and Branch Davidians, many lost their lives.

Here’s all the Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 release date?

It is highly unlikely that Waco: The Aftermath will have a Season 2. In the first season, viewers witnessed what happened during the siege and what events transpired during the trial. The season ended with Timothy McVeigh bombing and destroying some parts of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, which was considered the deadliest act in US history before 9/11.

The purpose of the SHOWTIME original series was to document the aftermath of the siege, and they got it all completely covered by the series finale of the first season. This means that there are no storylines to explore further. So a potential second installment is out of the picture unless they choose to make a spin-off involving side characters.

The cast of Season 1 saw Michael Shannon, Shea Whigham, John Leguizamo, Annika Marks, Giovanni Ribisi, Keean Johnson, Abbey Lee, Alex Breaux, John Hoogenakker, Kali Rocha, and others.

Where is Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 coming out?

Waco: The Aftermath Season 2 isn’t confirmed to release on any streaming service.

The official synopsis for Waco: The Aftermath reads:

“Five-part drama series portraying the searing aftermath of the disastrous FBI 1993 standoff at the Branch Davidian compound – an event that galvanized American militia movements and helped radicalize Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and many others.”
