After a well-received first season, the Peacemaker Season 2 release date has been in high demand by the fans. It was among the best superhero shows of 2022 and continued Christopher Smith’s story after The Suicide Squad. But is there a second season for Peacemaker? When is it coming out?

Is there a Peacemaker Season 2 release date?

The Peacemaker Season 2 release date is predicted to arrive in 2027.

With the announcement of all the Gods & Monsters DC projects earlier this year, it was confirmed that some parts of the old DC Universe will continue. The upcoming Waller series is set to star Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. So, it’s safe to say that John Cena’s Peacemaker will also continue in Gunn’s new DCU.

The Waller spinoff will bring back many characters from Peacemaker. So, it will likely lead into the second season of Peacemaker. Considering that Waller might arrive in 2026 and James Gunn will be busy with Superman: Legacy until July 11, 2025, the next season can only begin development in the second half of 2025 or sometime in 2026.

It could arrive in late 2026 or 2027, depending on when it starts filming. But with the way things are currently moving forward, 2027 is a likely year for its arrival.

While season 2 takes its time, it’s possible for John Cena’s Peacemaker to return in the Waller series or some other project before that. After all, he is an antihero now.
