Netflix subscribers have only until August 31 to watch Mean Girls on their favorite streamer. Directed by Mark Waters from a script written by Tina Fey, the film follows the story of Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), who moves from Africa to the United States and enters the social jungle of high school life. The cast includes Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, among others. The comedy was a box-office success as it grossed over $130 million facing a $17 million production budget. The film’s enduring popularity has led to a musical adaptation and a dedicated fanbase.

On the same day, Sleepless in Seattle will also leave Netflix. Directed by Nora Ephron, Sleepless in Seattle is a 1993 romantic comedy-drama starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in the lead roles. The story revolves around Sam Baldwin (Hanks), a widower living in Seattle with his young son. The cast includes Bill Pullman, Ross Malinger, and Rob Reiner. The film received two Oscar nominations at the 66th Academy Awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Screenplay. The film earned $227 million at the box office.
