Evidence that Rhodey is a Skrull in Secret Invasion
Rhodey is almost certainly a Skrull in Secret Invasion. This is because:
- He calls Nick Fury “Nick,” which no one apparently does.
- Nick refers to someone high up in the U.S. government that he knows is a Skrull who is visiting London.
- This information matches up with Rhodey, who Fury must have been suspicious about during their final meeting.
- Rhodey picks up the phone and speaks to Varra (a.k.a Priscilla) at the end of the episode.
Next episode, we should see Nick Fury and Talos hunting down the Rhodey Skrull, who is meeting with Nick Fury’s wife, Varra. Though Fury has the upper hand by being suspicious of Rhodey
Following the failed attempt to shoot down the UN aircraft, the Skrull invaders will be looking for other ways in which to force the world into an all-out war. The Rhodey Skrull is in the perfect place to cause more chaos.
Where is the real Rhodey in Secret Invasion?
The real Rhodey is likely unconscious at the Skrull hideout. Other humans have been stored while the Skrulls take over their appearance.
The real Rhodey is very likely still alive and will be restored once the Skrulls have been defeated. Until then, the Rhodey walking around is almost definitely a Skrull and poses a serious threat to humans. It’s unclear if he will use the War Machine armor, though he’s clearly doing enough damage without it!
