All WWE rumors and news today

Here are all the WWE rumors, news, and leaks that have appeared on our radar today, May 25.

The Latest Update On CM Punk & AEW

On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that the first episode of AEW Collision would emanate from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. CM Punk is expected to return to AEW as part of this new show, and a new report from Dave Meltzer says that Tony and Punk had a recent meeting that went very well.

Upon his return, CM Punk is believed to be entering a program with Samoa Joe before transitioning into finishing his rivalry with Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

Cody Rhodes Reportedly Set For Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Cody Rhodes has been obsessed with trying to finish his story in WWE and capture a WWE World Championship. Even though he failed to do so at WWE WrestleMania 39, the Money in the Bank briefcase could give him another opportunity to call the shots on how his story ends.

According to a report from WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, Cody Rhodes is slated to be added to this year’s men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Money in the Bank will emanate from The O2 in London, England on July 1.

The Latest On Edge’s Impending WWE Retirement

When Edge returned at the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble, it was considered to be one of the most miraculous comebacks in recent WWE history.

In recent months, “The Rated R Superstar” has openly stated that he wants to retire in Toronto. A new report from WrestleVotes (via GiveMeSport) reveals that Edge’s status on when the retirement occurs is entirely up to him as he has a lot of free reign over his career.

“It’s really, really up to him. I don’t think that Triple H, Vince or anybody knows. I don’t even think he knows. It’s just ‘we’ll see how the body feels’ and who knows. It’s coming time so, you know, maybe it is this year’s SummerSlam, maybe it is SmackDown in Toronto in August, maybe it’s sooner, but, it’s up to him is the best way that I can put it.”

AEW Scraps Plans For Grudge Match At AEW Double Or Nothing

With AEW Double Or Nothing occurring this weekend, a new report reveals that plans for a grudge match to occur at the event were recently scrapped and potentially postponed.

Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee have been at odds with one another for nearly a year, and a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer says there was an idea for the feud to come to a head in Las Vegas on May 28, but it has potentially been postponed to AEW All In.
